Gardens of Omagh is a bit different to most garden maintenance and landscape design companies. We're leading the pack when it comes to environmental responsibility. Our services are wholly focused on carbon neutral practices. Electric tools for maintenance, electric vehicles. We are proud of our fully e-based communications, plans, scheduling, invoicing and documentation processes - even our office is solar powered!

We also pride ourselves on our sensible, sustainable and affordable design principles. We encourage our clients to consider their current carbon footprint and what they desire in their own gardens that can make a difference. To reduce carbon mileage, we source and encourage the use of local materials, often considered by-products - such as aggregates and recycled materials. (If new products are unavoidable, we support local companies with sound environmental credentials.) We also actively seek out local contractors who share our ethos to work alongside us.

We deliberately focus our services in Bayside, Melbourne. Being local is a great asset.

We know the soils, we know the climate and environment. We are part of your community.

We always choose pest and disease control measures that are effective, but kind to the Earth, kids and pets.

We love flowers, trees and soils and we strongly believe in the benefits of mulching and composting!

Our all-electric maintenance equipment is clean, quiet and efficient. All green waste created is composted.

Sure, we might use a leaf blower to tidy up - but we won't blow the debris into the drains - we actually sweep it up!

(It may add 5 mins more to a job, but we know the marine life in the bay is thankful!)

The Process

Whether it's garden advice, a design solution or a quote for maintenance, the very first step is to meet - face to face!

Unlike some other businesses, Gardens of Omagh will not charge a “call out” fee for this initial meeting.

We operate locally and firmly believe that 'it just ain't neighbourly to charge'!

Plus, we love visiting Bayside gardens and could honestly talk all day about plants, inspiring gardens and insects!

The initial consultation, (usually 1 hour duration, in your garden) is really about sharing information.

We will discuss everything and anything that is central to your lifestyle.

How your garden is used and what you envisage for your dream garden.

Your likes and dislikes, problem areas, problem plants.

Following this first meeting, Gardens of Omagh will prepare:

For Horticultural Advice matters, a professionally presented, e-Horticultural Report (usually within 7 days).

This showcases the problems discussed and the solutions, including images. A detailed e-quotation accompanies the Horticultural Report.

A fee is charged for the preparation of this e-report and e-quotation.

Garden Maintenance requests will receive a detailed e-quotation of maintenance works to be undertaken.

For Landscape Design projects, the preparation of one preliminary landscape concept and allowance for one round of revisions to that landscape concept. A fee is charged for this service. If further changes are required an hourly rate is applied.
